MEET OUR FOUNDER
Harriette Thompkins is a visionary leader whose heart beats with passion for women's empowerment and spiritual growth. As the founder of Charis Woman Connection, she has created a transformative space where women support and connect with one another to reach their God-given destinies.
A Heart for Mentorship
Charis Woman Connection was born from Harriette's deep desire to see the older women teach the younger women, following the biblical model of mentorship and discipleship. Her unique perspective on mentorship recognizes that "older" doesn't always correlate with age—it encompasses experience, knowledge, and expertise. This inclusive approach ensures that every woman, regardless of her stage in life, has both something to offer and something to receive.
"As we have been set in the body of Christ, everyone has a place," Harriette believes, and this philosophy drives her commitment to creating spaces where women can discover their purpose and support one another's journeys.
Deep Roots, Expanding Vision
A native of the Birmingham area, Harriette now calls Hoover, Alabama home. Her deep connection to the community spans decades, giving her an intimate understanding of the needs and potential of women in the region. Recently retired, she brings the wisdom of a full career to her current endeavors, along with the energy and vision to launch new initiatives.
Current Endeavors
Harriette is currently preparing for the opening of Invictus Career Institute, a charter school focused on careers in healthcare. This venture reflects her commitment to education and her vision for providing practical pathways to success for students in the Birmingham area.
Simultaneously, she is in the process of launching Eagles Mount International Church in Birmingham, where she will serve as Founder and Pastor. This church represents her heart for spiritual growth and community building on a broader scale.
A Destiny Helper's Mission
At the core of Harriette's work is her calling to be a "destiny helper"—someone who comes alongside others to help them discover and walk in their purpose. She actively seeks out like-minded destiny helpers who will attach to the vision and run with it, creating a network of women committed to mutual support and growth.
Harriette's gratitude runs deep—she is thankful for the support she has received throughout her journey and equally grateful for the opportunity to be a source of support for others. This reciprocal spirit of giving and receiving defines the culture of Charis Woman Connection and reflects her belief that we are all interconnected in God's greater plan.
Through her various roles and initiatives, Harriette Thompkins continues to impact lives, build communities, and help women step boldly into their destinies.
